Silicone disc for hypertrophies/bumps on piercings
Silicone disc for hypertrophies/bumps on piercings
The silicone disc for hypertrophies/piercing bumps is a super effective method to combat hypertrophies, or bumps, that appear in some piercings. What does it consist of? It is simply a biocompatible, fully hypoallergenic silicone disc that, through the pressure it exerts on the bump, completely reabsorbs it within a few days.
How is it inserted? Simply unscrew the top of the jewelry, whether it's a banana or a bar, insert the disc, and reinsert the bar into the piercing. The disc must be positioned on the side of the bump.
If the bump is on both sides, you will need two discs.
How long should it be kept in? It is very subjective and depends on the case; it is always advisable to consult a piercer. Typically, the hypertrophy is reabsorbed within 2/3 weeks, during which the disc should always be kept in and never removed.

How do I choose the right jewelry size for my piercings?
How do I choose the right jewelry size for my piercings?
Regarding barbells, the length varies depending on the type of piercing. Clearly, every anatomy is different, so it's always best to consult the professional who performed your piercing to accurately determine the right size for your ear. However, generally, these are the sizes we recommend:
- Helix: 6mm, in the case of thicker cartilage 8mm
- Tragus: 8mm
- Snug: 8mm curved barbell
- Lobe: 6mm
- Forward helix: 6mm
- Rook: 8mm curved barbell
- Flat: 6mm
- Conch: 8mm
Even for clickers, or hoops, sizes can vary based on anatomy, but generally we recommend:
- Helix: 8mm (10mm if the ear's curvature is very thick)
- Tragus: 6mm
- Snug: 6mm
- Lobe: you can choose between 12/10/8/6mm depending on the piercing's placement. The higher the piercing, the smaller the size we recommend if you want to create a scaled effect.
- Forward helix: 6mm Rook: 6mm
- Conch: 10mm (12mm if your piercing was done further in)
